Gallery 263 is a participant of Take-a-Zine, Leave-a-Zine, a project that plants community-run bookstands across Massachusetts to foster the trade of zines, art books, and printed matter. We encourage the public to use gallery’s box, which is located on the green side door on Puntam Avenue.
About Zines
Zines are independently-published magazines or booklets with small circulations that are created to express the views of the publisher. They can utilize any number of mediums and formats, and they can cover any subject imaginable.
Why Make a Zine?
You can share with others in a meaningful, creative, and impactful way. There is a wide-range community of artists that make zines. Photographers, painters, illustrators, and writers use zines to share and display their work. The cheap nature of zines make them effective vehicles for sharing ideas and information outside of the current system.
