Gallery 263 is pleased to celebrate the first decade of our Artist Membership program with our 10th Annual Members’ Exhibition. For the last ten years, we have had the pleasure of supporting more than seventy local artists through this initiative. Our Artist Membership program remains vital to our nonprofit mission of advancing the endeavors of artists. Work from twenty members—whose art represents a range of mediums, styles, and content—will be on view.
Our Artist Membership program provides exposure and support for emerging and established artists. Many of the members with work in this exhibition—including Henrietta Davis, former Mayor of Cambridge; Elizabeth Zeldin, former lawyer; Francine Hiller, former Cambridge teacher; and Susan Emmerson, former surgeon—have come to art after working in other fields. Some of the artists have even studied art together. Two of the artists, Tamar Etingen and Sirarpi Heghinian-Walzer, have been members since the inaugural year of the program.
Artist members benefit from a web presence on gallery263.com, waived application fees to all of our opportunities, full profit on sales of artwork, as well as networking and social events. Gallery 263 also provides a Student Artist Membership tier specifically for students and those under twenty-five.
