Each summer, Gallery 263 offers our 700-square-foot space to artists of all media and experience levels. We strive to give the local Boston and Cambridge community a stake in the process, not just the product, of art making. From mural painting to textile arts, mold making to photography, and installation to community projects—our artist residencies have drawn passionate artists of all media.

The artist in residence will enjoy a comfortable environment in which to incubate ideas, fuel discussion, and produce new work. The residency is a non-live-in opportunity that comes with a $250 stipend. The selected artist will benefit from full access to our space and amenities; participate in programming (critiques, community outreach projects, and/or social engagement); work with the gallery to share updates on the gallery’s social media and online platforms about work-in-process; and conclude their stay with a showcase of their work.
