February 15 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Join us for our first-ever Community Critique Night! We invite those in the Boston arts community to show their work and participate in this two-hour critique event. Receive feedback on your art and meet other local artists and art lovers. Each event will be facilitated by a member of the local arts community and will have five 20-minute critique blocks where participating artists can show their work and receive constructive feedback. Community Critique Nights occur monthly.
Registration Considerations
- Work that is currently on display cannot be moved or altered in any way to accommodate works for critique. The gallery has two easels for displaying two-dimensional work that presenters are welcome to use
- Gallery 263 does not have extra media players, projectors, or screens. Artists showing digital or time-based media are asked to bring their own equipment. If you plan to bring a screen, please bring a freestanding one.
- Gallery 263 cannot accommodate large or site-specific installation works for critique
If you would like to participate, please fill out the registration form and purchase a ticket type below:
- “Presentation” tickets are for artists looking to present their work and be critiqued. (Cost: $25)
- “Participation” tickets are for those who wish to simply offer feedback and not show their work. (Cost: $10)
Please note that ticket types are capped to ensure enough time for each presenter and to create a community atmosphere. If you have any questions or concerns, please email our operations director, Sophia Day, at [email protected].
Disclaimer: Community Critique Nights are not facilitated by Gallery 263 staff or jurors and are not opportunities for artists to receive advanced feedback on their submissions to the gallery. Gallery 263 does not review portfolios or offer gallery representation.
