Each Summer, Gallery 263 offers our 700-square foot space to four artists who transform the gallery into their workspace for seven weeks.  We strive to give the local Boston and Cambridge community a stake in the process, not just the product, of art making. From mural painting to textile arts, mold making to photography, installation to community projects—our artist residencies have drawn passionate artists of all media to share the space at 263 Pearl Street.

Meet the 2018 residents

Graham Yeager

Graham Yeager is a Boston-based artist whose practice uses sculpture, performance, drawing and printmaking to create excuses to talk with people. His participatory projects that champion tactile and vocal interactions have received many awards including the Blanche E. Colman Award, Timothy F. Nichols Drawing Breath Award and Tufts University Graduate Student Research Award.

Woomin Kim

Woomin Kim is a Boston-based artist, who through making sculptures reveals the gap between how she perceive everyday objects linguistically or conceptually and what they really are, between the truth of the material and her subjective understanding.

Abigayle Jane Cosinuke

Abigayle Jane recently graduated from Colorado College. Her recent work explores the female body as a sculptural and performative object. Much of Abigayle’s inspiration comes from the human body both as it moves and as a 3D object.

Carolyn Sirois

Carolyn Sirois a mixed-media artist based in Boston, asks how we build community and connect given the volume of our world. In this digital age, where we are 21st C nomads moving across time and space on our screens, how do we respond to the competing texts and perspectives we encounter everyday? Creating 2D and 3D works incorporating language, her analogue approach is meditative and invites others to pause, talk and connect.
