It Followed Me Home is a group exhibition of twenty-eight first and second year MFA Graduate Students from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts (SMFA) features work in various mediums, including drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, screen printing, and textile art.

This exhibition provides visibility to 28 MFA students from SMFA at Tufts University, offering the public an opportunity to explore innovative works by emerging artists in various mediums, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and photography.

The variety of mediums in It Followed Me Home creates a rich, textured experience where personal stories intertwine with larger social narratives. Drawings and paintings unravel intimate reflections, while ceramics and textiles gesture toward the tactile realities of lived experiences. Photography captures fleeting perspectives, and sculptural forms ground viewers in tangible social commentary.

Many works navigate the tensions between identity and community, presence and absence, and transformation and stasis. Themes of storytelling emerge through fragmented landscapes and abstract gestures, evoking a sense of searching and reconfiguration. Just as one medium bleeds into another, the narratives unfold without clear resolution, inviting viewers to question how the personal meets the collective—and where art offers new spaces for reflection amidst contemporary chaos.
