Campaign Update: Donor Matching

We are pleased to share an exciting campaign update! The Gregor Family has generously offered to match every dollar donated up to $20,000. This means each dollar you donate will now have double the impact.

Fifteen years ago, we hung a series of still-life oil paintings in our windows at Pearl Street and Putnam Avenue in Cambridgeport. Since then, we have transformed from a storefront window experiment to a growing nonprofit arts organization–Gallery 263. To meet our evolving needs, we have launched a $40,000 fundraising campaign—the largest campaign in our history—so we can sustain programming and operations that foster lifelong engagement of artists and visitors. Can you help us reach our goal?

We are a small team of three staff who, along with many volunteers, work tirelessly and passionately to offer ten or more exhibitions a year, an ongoing small works exhibit, an annual artist-in-residence program, and community programming, including artist talks, yoga, and life drawing. Achieving this $40,000 milestone will allow us to plan for new shows, continue to make our operations more efficient, and create more artist opportunities—while making sure our doors stay open to everyone. Staff and board are especially excited to dedicate a portion of these funds to provide a new tiered submission fee structure that will make our calls for art more accessible to all artists.

We deeply appreciate all of the support you have shown the gallery throughout the years and invite you to help build a future of continued access to contemporary art and artists in the Greater Boston area.
